This piece was originally inspired by telling Charlie a story one night when he couldn’t sleep.
He had florescent stars and a moon on his light shade at the time which were lit up as we were lying on his bed in the middle of the night. I told him that if we closed our eyes we could fly to the moon and collect the stars.
I produced the original artwork just to show him and remind him of the story; it had a dreamy, magical quality to the piece which I wanted to capture again. Charlie asked if it was true, and we spoke about dreams coming true. Remembering this story allowed me to add more stars to the piece as many of my dreams have come true. I very much believe in and am an advocate for “follow your heart and your passion”.
I hope that my children follow their dreams in life.
